Timeline for Vacation 2012

- Left McAllen, TX the afternoon of Monday, 9 July 2012 towing our R-pod 173
Drove non-stop through Houston - Texarkana - Memphis and Nashville with the intention of stopping in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.
It was not to be. East of Nashville we noticed a strange sound from the Suburban. All gages showed OK, and fluid levels were OK.
We managed to serendipitously discover the Kirk Chevrolet dealership in Crossville, TN.
Their service dept. discovered major problems with the differential.
They treated us with every possible courtesy, fixed the problem (replaced differential gears) all under warranty and had us on our way in just under 2 days.
Miracles do happen... performed by very nice people.

From there we continued on more-or-less on plan to eastern Pennsylvania - Boston, MA.
then followed the coast as far south as St. Augustine FL and headed west and south to home in McAllen, TX.
