Most of the road from New Orleans to Baton Rouge is a long bridge over swampland.
Going West across Louisanna toward Texas much of the road over the Atchafalaya Basin
is also a long bridge. In the last 60 miles before entering Texas on Interstate 10 there
are large rice fields.
We arrived in Houston mid-afternoon, found a campground, paid, set up and invited relatives to have supper with us.

Sharon, Morgan and Cindy who live in the Houston area met us and we had dinner together.
The next morning - 9 August - We got going well before dawn to miss the dreaded going-to-work traffic.
We succeded, and finally found a breakfast spot in Victoria, Texas nearly 100 miles down the road.

Back at home in McAllen, parked in front of our house, by the soccer field.
