~ Del Marva Peninsula - Jamestown Virginia - Williamsburg ~

We left Freehold, New Jersey and headed Southwest, crossing into Delaware near Wilmington.
To avoid Washington, DC traffic and congestion we decided to drive the length of what is known as
the DelMarVa peninsula. (The parts of Delaware, Maryland and Virginia which are East of Chesapeake Bay.)
At the southern end of the peninsula the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel takes one across where the Bay connects
with the Atlantic Ocean to Norfolk, Virginia. From there one loops back through Portsmouth, Virginia and across/through
the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel to Newport News, continuing on North to Williamsburg.

Our campsite at the Williamsburg KOA

A colorful mushroom popped up near our campsite. As they do, it matured quickly
and 2 days later was at end of above ground life.
It looks a lot like Amanita muscaria to me, but I am not an expert.
