Fort Loudoun
established 1756 - occupied until 1760
during the French and Indian War
It assisted the allied Cherokee Nation during the war.


A model of the fort in the museum.

The reason why so many were in costume was that they were making a motion picture
describing the history of Ft. Loudoun. We were lucky to have visited at this time,
when the whole place looked and felt alive.
