Duckworks 7th Annual
Messabout - combined with The 4th sailing of the Texas 200
26 June 2010 at Magnolia Beach, Texas on the south side of Matagorda Bay
Between Houston and Corpus Christi, Texas.
This year I went to the the Messabout with my son and a number of friends.
We arrived Friday afternoon and set up camp in the park on the beach. A few others were early arrivers, including Jim of Kemah, TX who brought his Kayak, a Turisops designed by Michael Alford (plans from Woodenboat Magazine store).

The silvertarp shade. The building SE wind caused it to achieve an interesting shape.
I brought my very old Sabot hull with oars, and it was used.
The oarlock mount broke, and the boys had to paddle back to shore.
