First Wisconsin (and Chicago) trip

McAllen, TX - Lakeside, TX (near Ft Worth) - Topeka, KS - Ft Calhoun, NE (N of Omaha, NE) - Hadar, NE (NW of Norfolk, NE) - Sheboygan, WI
- Chicago, IL - Sheboygan, WI - Iron Mtn, MI - Tipler WI - Hayward, WI - Duluth MN - Merril, WI - Sheboygan, WI
- Springfield, IL - Springfield, MO - Oklahoma City, OK - Hewitt,TX (near Waco) - McAllen, TX


On this trip we towed and used our little RPod trailer


15 Sept. - Ft Worth, TX - Oklahoma City, OK spent night at Topeka, KS KOA campground.
16 Sept. From Topeka, KS swung east into Illinois as directed by the GPS to go north
around Omaha and re-entered Nebraska over a Mississippi River bridge.

Hadar, Nebraska

The Mittelstaedt homestead just west of town - established by Otto Mittelstaedt
Hadar is about six and a half miles NW of Norfolk, NE

Hadar was platted in 1883, which is probably about the time that Otto Mittelstaedt
settled and began to establish a homestead.


      The Mittelstaedt homestead - approaching from the East on 848th Rd.
The house is hidden among the trees in the middle of this photo.
It is about a mile West of Hadar.
