East Coast of USA - after grad school at UT Austin
This vacation taken driving a small blue Ford Courrier pickup (a Mazda in Ford clothing)
which had a cap over the back which I used as a camper.
1978-09-19 Thames Bundy in Corpus Christi, TX (friend from grad school)
1978-09-20 visited Pat Royal in E, Texas (recently graduated friend from GSLIS)
spent night in an Arkansas state park
drove the length of Tennessee on a bumpy concrete highway (due to concrete expansion joints).
1978-09-22 arrived Great Smoky Mountain National Park
1978-09-25 arrived in Lebanon, Pennsylvania at Uncle and Aunt Scharenbroch for a stay and re-grouping
did some work in his wood shop, which was very convenient.
1978-10-traveled back to Scharenbroch - visited Philadelphia etc
1978-10-04 arrived Camden, Maine. (Camden State Park)
1978-10-05 arrived at Acadia National Park, Mt. Desert Island, Maine
1978-10-08 arrived back at Camden State Park
visited the Redwood Library in Newport, Massachusetts, oldest public library in USA
- also saw the tower there which some think may be of Viking origin (probably not)
1978-10-24 traveled back to Scharenbroch family - visited Philadelphia etc
visited Jamestown, VA including their replica fleet - Savanna, GA (Savanna Library oldest in the area)
1978-11-__ visit Castello San Marcos (National Historic Park) in St Augustine, FL - stayed at a KOA campground between Jacksonville and St Augustine
1978-11-07 Stopped and visited Fowlers (parents of High School friend) in Biloxi, MS then drove non-stop across Louisanna to Corpus Christi, TX
1978-11-09 Stopped in Corpus Christi visit Grad School friend
1978-11-11 returned to McAllen (est date)
