Troop 583 got a late start and arrived at the site well after dark.
There was a breeze from the SE, and a Norther was expected on Saturday morning.
We set up camp using a BSA canvas wall tent for a quartermaster tent.
A large 10x12 Coleman dome tent was sufficient to house the Scouts.
The Scoutmaster had his REI Hobitat.

Early breakfast on Saturday morning, before the N. wind blew and before the morning rain.
As we were going to morning flag ceremony the promised Norther blew in
bringing misting rain and increasingly strong wind. The rain came down heavier
for over an hour, then quit, leaving an overcast then clearing and very windy day.
Early on we set up a pavillion for a field kitchen, then added a north wall to block the fierce North wind.
Even later on a west wall was added. Note how the north wall bows in due to the force of the wind.
The big 10x12 coleman did not take the wind well.
and eventually went flat. Some of the poles split, but did not shatter.
It was rolled up and put away.
A more wind resistant troop tent was erected late in the day and the Scouts
slept in that tent, others in the canvas quartermaster's tent.
